Chapter 7

“Are you sure you’re okay?” Carla asked.

“Of course I am, and today we’re all going out because Carla is introducing us to her girlfriend. I want to meet her,” I said, smiling, looking at Carla.

Sofia looked mad but agreed. I’d seen her once before, but I couldn’t see her face because she’d been asleep. You could tell she was a brunette with a somewhat athletic body, but even so, I was curious to see her again. I decided to wear a dress that initially hadn’t fit me when I bought it but now was perfect. I tied my hair up.

Carla decided to change her looks a little. She wore a short, tight skirt and a white shirt, with heels highlighting her legs. Sofia, as always, wore one of her black dresses, short and close to her body, accompanied by beautiful high heels, so tall that only she or Lady Gaga could walk on them.

We were waiting for Fabio and Hevandrick because we had agreed to go together. When the bell rang, we thought it was them, but it turned out to be Maura, Carla’s girlfriend. She had blue hair and was wearing heavy makeup; red lipstick, eyes painted with black eye pencil, eyebrows outlined, and eyelashes loaded with mascara. She had blue eyes, and you could tell by her roots that she was actually blonde. She was wearing black trousers tightly fitted to her body and showing a part of her belly. She had a fantastic figure and looked Brazilian. She was wearing blue boots that I thought matched her hair and eyes.

“Who are you?” asked Sofia, looking disgusted.

Much to Sofia’s chagrin, Carla kissed her girlfriend on the lips and introduced Maura to us. I already knew who she was, but Sofia was speechless. Sofia sat down in the armchair, shaking her legs nervously. The three of us sat on the couch.

“So, you’re the woman who stole my friend’s heart,” I said to see if I could break the silence.

Maura smiled and replied a sweet “I think so,” which made Sofia shoot her a glare. I didn’t know why Sofia was acting like that. She was the most progressive-minded of the group. She had plenty of gay friends, and it was all very confusing.

“Who took the initiative?” she asked. “She did it,” she told Sofia, smiling.

“Out of curiosity, who is the man in your relationship?” Sofia asked sarcastically.

Her comment didn’t sit well with the girls. When Carla was about to reply, the bell rang again. I immediately went to open the door for Fabio and Hevandrick. Hevandrick, as usual, was dressed in black, while Fabio was in brown shorts and a white shirt. Hevandrick kissed me, and Fabio went quickly to the couch to kiss Sofia. But even with Fabio’s presence, she was still sulking.

“Hi, I’m Fabio,” he held out his hand to Maura.

“Hi, I’m Maura.”

“New roommate?” Fabio asked.

Sofia immediately replied that she was Carla’s girlfriend. Fabio didn’t seem to mind, and neither did Hevandrick. Only Sofia kept swearing. We decided to go to the party before Sofia ruined our mood.
